Brisky loves uncle Adam's new car

Brisky just went for a ride in Uncle Adam's new car and thinks it's wonderful!

 

Brisky's breakfast at Smitty's

Uncle Adam took us to breakfast at Smitty's this morning in Nanaimo.

Smitty's has a couple of large aquariums with some nice fish. Brisky spent most of his time checking out the fish. He was very hungry and I think he bonked his head a few times on the aquarium glass trying to bite a fish.

It was a great meal and the other people in the restaurant really liked Brisky. 

 
 

Brisky Bear on Vancouver Island

We spent the night at Uncle Adam's house.  Brisky wanted to meet Uncle Adam, but Adam was already asleep, so Brisky just snuggled in and had a good long sleep.



In the morning, Brisky wanted to have his morning Bearcersises, so he worked out his lower-body on the stationary bike



and then he worked his upper-body on the stretchy bands.




Brisky said he's ready for breakfast now!

Brisky Bear's first ferry ride

Brisky was all excited to be on the ferry.  We walked around looking at all the posters on the wall, and he was especially interested in the poster of the starfish.  He wants to see one in person, but hopes they're not that big.  He's also wondering how they move underwater.



We went to the kids room so he could play on the pirate ship, but there was no one else to play with.  He really misses Trooper Dog.

Our trip begins

Brisky bear is all buckled in and ready to go!  I wish Trooper Dog would have let me say goodbye to him, I'm really going to miss him on this trip.

Trooper Dog disappears!

I can't find Trooper Dog anywhere!  He disappeared early this morning.  I tried calling him but he didn't come.  I think he's upset that he's not allowed to come fishing with us.  Oh well, I guess I won't be able to pat him goodbye.

Brisky Bear goes fishing

Brisky Bear is going fishing with grandpa!


Uncle Andy asked grandpa to come fishing with him next week. They are going to the west coast of the Pacific Ocean to a place called Rivers Inlet which is north of Port Hardy.

They hope to catch a lot of fish, like salmon, halibut (they are flat fish with both eyes on one side of their head), black cod called Sable Fish, ling cod (they have big teeth) and Red Snapper's (they are red but they don't snap)


Brisky Bear is very excited because he is allowed to come too. He is old enough now, and he is well behaved so Uncle Andy will allow him on his boat.





His friend Trooper Dog also wants to come along but he is a very mischievous dog.




That means that he is always getting into trouble. He ate most of grandpa's chocolate covered almonds that grandpa got from Jack and Joey for Father's Day.
Grandma once caught him playing in the craft room without asking. He rarely comes when you call him and seems to always be hiding, which makes him hard to find.
